BRL-K777 version 2026 declared binding
A revised version of BRL-K777 for the Kiwa product certificate for " Repair clamps and couplings in contact with drinking water" has been declared binding as of 16 June 2026.
The following parts of the BRL have been changed:
- Scope expanded: now also includes repair couplings in addition to clamps
- Higher pressure requirements and clearer scope (up to 1.6 MPa)
- Technical requirements clarified (materials, sealing, corrosion protection)
- Test methods expanded and described in more detail

Evaluation guideline changes
An evaluation guideline or ‘Beoordelingsrichtlijn’ (BRL) is a package of requirements that a product or service can meet to demonstrate a certain guarantee of quality and legality. Kiwa offers BRLs in various subject areas. The requirements in a BRL are drawn up by an independent Board of Experts. A product or service is assessed by Kiwa on the basis of those requirements. When we introduce a new BRL or when a BRL changes, we will publish these BRL's.
