World Food Safety Day on June 7th reminds us of the many challenges in ensuring global food security. For us at Kiwa, as a leading accredited certifier, this day is vital to highlighting our commitment to maintaining high food safety standards — in support of our customers and the betterment of the planet as a whole.

Kiwa is proud to announce the integration of PV Evolution Labs (PVEL) and PI Berlin North America into our solar business portfolio. This strategic move enhances our capabilities in providing comprehensive solutions for PV technology and energy storage projects, ensuring quality, safety, and reliability.

In the Spring of 2023, Gasnor, Norway’s largest natural gas company, put a contract out to tender for the retrofitting of their pipelines. The goal was to enable the delivery of an 80% natural gas and 20% hydrogen mixture. Kiwa Consulting Norway was eager to make a bid for this highly technical contract - designed to pave the way for a more sustainable energy future in Norway.

In a strong move towards fostering sustainability and environmental responsibility, the European Union has enacted the EU Batteries Regulation 2023/1542. This regulation replaces the EU’s previous regulation on batteries sold in the market and partly focuses on their environmental impact. If you're involved in the manufacturing or supply of water products like showers, taps, valves, or WCs, you will come across the British standard BS 6920. This standard establishes requirements for non-metallic materials in contact with drinking water, ensuring water safety and preventing contamination. Compliance to the BS 6920 is crucial to enter the British market.
